Hi,
Now that repositories are finally ready, emergency is over, I made a snapshot of my environment on Linux Mint 18.3 64bits.
It is available here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/chibio ... ibiStudio/
Notes:
- It is for Linux Mint 18.3 64bits, not tested in any other specific setup.
- It is not official so not supported.
- You need to install it as ~/Projects/ChibiStudio
- OpenOCD is not included, you need to download, compile and install it on your side.
- You need to launch it using the provided shell script or the required environments variables will not be set.
(uploading, it will be there in 30 minutes)

Re: [INFO] Installed Linux Mint
Maybe it's time for an article about how to put together ChibiStudio under Linux.

Re: [INFO] Installed Linux Mint
Hello All,
Two weeks ago I finally succed on configuring ecliipse on my lubuntu PC to use a chibios repository to work on the AVR part of the project
It is quite simple, if some one are interested, let me know I will share my method.
But I will also be interested tu used chibistudio package directly
Thanks

Re: [INFO] Installed Linux Mint
I'm currently only setup openocd with -rtos ChibiOS flag and embSysRegView.
What extra features has this ChibiStudio version?

Re: [INFO] Installed Linux Mint
It is the normal ChibiStudio setup in Linux instead of Windows, the only difference is that it is based on Eclipse Mars instead of Luna (more recent).

Re: [INFO] Installed Linux Mint
On Ubuntu Mate 1710 I'm not able to run it.
I put the Studio to: /home/nico/Projects/ChibiStudio
After start Eclipse want to use default workspace from Giovanni. I changed it to "/home/nico/Projects/ChibiStudio/chibios_trunk".
When I try to open a project, e.g. double click on STM32F4xx-RTC,
I get:

Code: Select all
The project description file (.project) for 'STM32F4xx-RTC' is missing. This file contains important information about the project. The project will not function properly until this file is restored.

Re: [INFO] Installed Linux Mint
Uhm, is the .project file present in the archive? maybe the packer excluded hidden files while creating the file.
If so, I will re-upload it.

@Theo:
Use the original Link in Giovannis post, the copy+pasted link in my post is not working.
@Nico:
On the first start, Eclipse was complaining that the workspace HOME/Giovanni/Projects/ChibiStudio... does not exist.
But then I just had to browse and to select my own user-workspace and everything did work.
=> I'm using "Import" to open an existing example project.
