Has anyone had any joy with this?
I've found what I think are the right *.svd files, and put them in what I think is the right place (ChibiStudio\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.cdt.embsysregview.data_0.2.5.r180\data\SVD(CMSIS)\STMicro) but they don't load. Don't think they need any specific installation.
It looks as if a software update might be needed, but I haven't found anything promising. Sourceforge project hasn't been updated for a couple of years.

Re: EmbsysRegView for 32F7XX
I have just copied them in the folder STMicro under C:\ChibiStudio\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.cdt.embsysregview.data_0.2.5.r180\data\SVD(CMSIS)\

Perhaps we should add them manually before releasing next time.

I found that the *.svd files had to be renamed to *.xml - then it's worked.
Would certainly be a good idea to add the newer files if possible (and maybe there are later revisions of some available).
In fact, a general cleanup on the data directory may be overdue - for many parts there are both *.svd and *.xml files, and it's not immediately obvious which is the latest. The *.svd files generally have later dates, but on a quick look at the F429 file, for example, it appears that the xml file might be more accurate.

Re: EmbsysRegView for 32F7XX
Please share with me where you have found these files. BTW I found a repository which contained both .sdv and xml files for every micro. But I don't remember where...

From the ST web site!
For every STM32 family, there's a tab 'Resources'. Within that, 'HW Model, CAD libraries and SVD...'. See screenshot
Note: These are *.SVD files, which need renaming to *.xml
(I think I read somewhere that the 'original' EmbsysRegView xml format was slightly different to SVD, but haven't noticed it so far)
Possibly the site you found was on the Arm website somewhere? Seems logical.

Re: EmbsysRegView for 32F7XX
If I remember well, some time ago I found it in the CMSIS folder under a folder named SVD in the Cube pack... I will download them and put them in the next release of ChibiStudio. Thanks for help
