Postby masterq » Wed Aug 14, 2013 7:32 am

Hi all.
I'm an author Ajhc Haskell compiler http://ajhc.metasepi.org/.

Now Haskell code compiled with Ajhc is running on ChibiOS/RT!

https://github.com/metasepi/chibios-arafura

Enjoy! :)

It's indeed a very interesting project. I always wanted to learn haskell - and I started, but I never came to it because I simply had no use for it.
Do you see any real advantages by using Haskell on an M4 over C or is it just playing around / of educational purpose?

Hi Tectu.
I think it's more safe developing with Haskell than C.
The type system keeps big software project as safe and simple.

Haskell on ChibiOS/RT is the first challenge to run Haskell code directory on real OS.
Finally, I would like to rewrite the real UN*X kernel, such as NetBSD, with Haskell.
ChibiOS/RT is the first step.
