I'm using another Git client, it's called SmartGit.
This is free for non-commercial use, however, a license is required for commercial use: http://www.syntevo.com/smartgithg/index.html .

There's also a client called SourceTree from Atlassian [the developers of bitbucket.org] - http://sourcetreeapp.com/
And GitHub, too has its own Windows GUI Client.

Hope this info is useful.

My fav: https://code.google.com/p/gitextensions/

The point with tortoiseGit is, that is doesnt really fit into the git way. It's trying to be tortoiseSVN on steroids, but fails.

Sourcetree is nice, but takes too much screen space.

Github eases collaborativ developement with every new feature added and got links to a lot of stuff, e.g, https://travis-ci.org/, ...

Every one listing here another git client telling the one posted before will definitely not make Giovanni move to git, friends ;-)
But I'm a command line guy - no GUI to recommend here.

We PM each other in a token ring pattern, within these PMs, we'll make an appointment were we all meet. In a hidden location, we'll create a very realistic testing environment and everybody has to solve some git tasks with his prefered tool, sorted from very easy to very hard. Then, at the end of the first two days, we'll go in a room for a meeting. Everyone will present his favorite tool to the others. The different tasks have to be solved from the other people in a small workshop from the representator of the corresponding git tool as well in order to see how easy it's to learn for a new user. In a mathematical and political way, we'll estimate which tool is the best. After these five days, we'll write up our results in this thread. Go?
