External SRAM using STM32F407

Postby Tectu » Wed Oct 30, 2013 4:27 pm

Well, it took some time but as I promised in this article, I wrote a small guide about how to interface external SRAM with an STM32F407.
It's not really finished as there are many more information that could be listed. I'll add more details, especially to Step 1, later. However, I think it's a good point to start. It would be nice if someone could give it a quick look - I am sure there are typos and probably other problems :P
I'd appreciate any constructive criticism.

Hi Tectu,

Last weekend I followed the article to implement 2 sub-banks (LCD + SRAM) and there were some things that I thought needed to be added. I've taken the liberty of expanding the article with an additional example and some details.

BTW, your code uses BUSTURN settings in the timing. I don't think they're used for SRAM in bank 1.

regards,
Fred
