A friend of mine is producing a small batch of the following board: (details later)

I see CAN, RS485, RS232, isolated in- and outputs, analog in- and outputs. Something I missed? :P

Pretty much that. The interesting part is that components are extended temperature range.

  • designed for industrial environments, Four-layer PCB
  • power from 7 to 24V
  • micro-controller STM32F405RGT6
  • 12 filtered digital inputs that accept signals from 5V to 24V. Visual monitoring of the state. Divided into two banks of 6. Each counter can be configured to float, in pull-up or pull-down
  • 11 digital outputs open drain 1A, protected from thermal overload by voltage spikes and short-circuit. Visual monitoring of the state.
  • 1 analog current output, standard 4-20mA High linearity
  • 2 analog inputs 4-20mA low-impedance
  • 1 RS232
  • 1 EIA-485 full duplex 4-wire
  • 1 EIA-485 standard
  • 1 CAN isolated up to 5kV

Posting this to see if there is interest in a board like this.

Extended temperature range usually means +30%. Is already any price tag available?
Also those black connectors, are they 5.08mm spacing? They look a bit unusually for home development :D

It is definitely not for home use, it is meant to control a complex industrial machine. Of course it uses ChibiOS :)

I'd go for some ethernet and/or USB OTG. Could be fun :D
