Adding support for STM32L496xx/4A6xx  Topic is solved

Postby choowf » Tue Oct 10, 2017 9:35 am

Hi,

We need the ports for STM32L496xx in ChibiOS and found there are ports here from ST.

I made some changes to the ChibiOS 17.6.1 (please check attached) :
- added the stm32l496xx.h and stm32l4a6xx.h into common/ext/CMSIS/ST/STM32L4xx
- changed the stm32l4xx.h to add in the 496xx/4a6xx defines
- added STM32L496xxG.ld linker file
- changed cmparams.h
- changed hal_lld.c, hal_lld.h, stm32_registry.h

Will you consider to add in the ports for next release?

Thanks.

Moving in "change requests" forum.

We will consider this for inclusion in trunk, 17.6.x is a "stable" branch and only receives fixes.

I'm currently on 16.1.9 and as per our PM I'm intending to add support for several of the new L4 devices.

Are you saying that these will never make it into the 16.1.x line either? If not, what version will they be in and how long are we going to have to wait for that?

Thanks.

Hi,

Files merged in trunk, cannot test it but it looks good.
