S32K by nxp - Cortex M4F, 5V, automotive qualified, 112MHz, up to with 2MB flash and up to 256k ram.

Still PRE-PRODUCTION, they mention dev board next quarter. Pretty cool chip.

PS: can anyone educate me on the whole Freescale / NXP thing?

I assume currently more supported viewforum.php?f=26 comes from the Freescale which is now defunct since acquired by NXP. Less supported viewforum.php?f=20 is from the original NXP?

Do they share anything between any families?

I don't know for sure, now they have devices created in NXP and devices created in Freescale with entirely different internal architecture, the question is, which ones will survive?

Anyway, it would be cool to extend support, as usual, it is matter to find stakeholders and a maintainer.
