[READ] Common Questions & Answers

Postby Giovanni » Mon Aug 12, 2013 11:06 am

Hi,

First a small premise, the support is given by volunteers, please try to find answers first by yourself by:
- Reading and Data Sheet and the Reference Manual for device-related questions.
- Reading the documentation and the articles available here:
http://www.chibios.org/dokuwiki/doku.ph ... tion:start
http://www.chibios.org/dokuwiki/doku.ph ... cles:start
http://wiki.chibios.org/dokuwiki/doku.p ... :documents

- Reading the community-contributed guides available here: http://wiki.chibios.org/dokuwiki/doku.p ... :community
- Searching the forum in order to see if your question has been already answered. It is better to search using Google and by restricting the result to this forum by adding: site:forum.chibios.org to your search query. The forum search does not function well.

If all the above fails then ask on the forum by giving as much information as possible, at very minimum:
1) Which platform, for example STM32F4xx.
2) ChibiOS version used.
3) Nature of the problem and effects.

For hard to debug problems it is a good idea to attach a small project, that would enable us to help with debugging. Keep the project *minimal*. Read this topic about submitting reports.

I added a link to forward all µGFX related question to the dedicated forum - Hope that helps. I also added the link to the I2C troubleshooting guide.
Maybe you want to make this post sticky?

Good evening,
it seems that all the link are now broke again. I'm brought to a page non exists or a blank page. Could you please provide the correct address, if it is still available?

Many thanks.
