Just FYI: C-programs get called with an argv starting at the commandname. Giovanni decided for a different convention, IIRC no argv[0] and off-by-one on the argc. Because I don't want to remember if I'm writing a "main()" or a command for my shell I've decided to do things differently. So check that you're using the right argv[] element and the correct argc count.
