LLD Versions

Postby atomiclama » Thu Dec 05, 2019 2:10 pm

Hi
I'm using the STM32F405 chip and I'd like to use the UART idle detection to detect a break in data transmission on a UART.
My implementation will need to receive packets of data of indeterminable length that are separated by a pause in transmission.

It looks like this has only been implemented in the V2 of the UART LLD but the platform.mk for the STM32F4xx calls up the V1 driver.

So the question, would it be big task to get the V2 LLD driver working for the STM32F4xx platform? I tried a quick change of the platform.mk to ref the V2 LLD but it didn't work.
Or would it be easier to port the idle handling across to the V1 LLD?

Any ideas or suggestions?

Cheers
Andy

Hi,

A patch has already been contributed on the forum for that, I need to merge it.

Ah neat,

Is this something you plan on doing soon?
if not is there any git diff/pull requests/ etc so that I could do it on my local repo? A link would be good.

Thanks for the fast response.

Cheers
