I know it is so early in the party but does ChibiOS has a plan to support the new STM32MP1 for Cortex-M4 core?
ST claims that it is based on STM32L4 + OpenAMP.
STM32MP1 support?

Re: STM32MP1 support?
Hi,
Not just for the M4 part? That sounds so cool, I look forward to seeing it!
Thank you for the prompt reply.

Re: STM32MP1 support?
Hi, I'm curious, is there anything still in the works for the STM32MP1? Mostly interested in running on the M4 core. Is there a configuration that already could be used for the M4 core on the STM32MP1?

Re: STM32MP1 support?
Ping on this thread.
What would be the cost to pay for a port for the STM32MP157F?
https://www.st.com/en/microcontrollers- ... mp157.html
Either that or the essentially equivalent Octavo part.

Hi,
it will happen eventually but it is not high priority being a very peculiar platforms.
Before talking about cost you should define what you need exactly from such a port, we have people handling the commercial part, a developer would be allocated on this. If you are interested in a paid development then we should continue this conversation via PMs.
What I can do is to start looking at it when release 21.6.1 is done.

Could you explain what is so special about the M4-core in the STM32MP1?
The initialization sequence is of course very different from regular microcontrollers. And you must limit what peripherals the M4 accesses to not interfere with the other cores and the Linux that most probably runs on them.
