Nil port to other chips
Nil port to other chips
Hi, how difficult is a port to other arm chips/boards like LPC1343, LPC11U14, STM32VL, LPC812 etc with current Nil version?

Re: Nil port to other chips
Hi,
In the ChibiOS 3.0 branch there is the new Nil and it has already been ported on the Cortex-M3 and Cortex-M4. Adding variants is not particularly complex because now it shares the HAL with ChibiOS/RT. When 3.0 will be ready both RTOSes will share the same ports.

Re: Nil port to other chips
Hi,
There is not a milestone yet but it is already functional and usable. I still have to decide which features to add before making it the official "trunk".
I think the 3.0.0 release will happen in early summer and it will include RT and NIL on top of a common HAL.
