Morning folks,

ChibiOS/GFX really needs a logo... Any ideas?
Personally, I like some grey/blue combination of something :x

I'm a bit disappointed... Is this really all you got in return?

hey, this is a forum for people interested in embedded operating systems, not graphic designers :D

but maybe we could do something related to lcd, e.g a pixelated logo?

I fully agree with you, Badger, but that dosen't mean that nobody got an idea.

Thank you very much for yours. I didn't think about this but that might be a good idea :)

Since I'm not a graphic guy let this be an inspiration for somebody with skills (inspiration what to do or what not to do). Sources are in attachement, except font: http://font.ubuntu.com/.

Hey resset,

Thank you very much for your work! I'm thankful for anything and I already lost the hope that somebody is interested in contributing a logo.
The logo looks quite nice so far. I do really like the LCD pixel like thing. So far the logo has been added to the site, I guess I'll do some editing of it (I think something like a sinus graph in the background would be nice as well?). Or maybe you're interested in doing this? I really really really suck at graphic things..

However, again, thank you very very much! (P.S. you've also made it to the first ChibiOS twitter tweet ;-)) -> https://twitter.com/ChibiOS_RT

Thanks for nice words and... WOW, I didn't expect it to be accepted that fast :) I think there is still something to do with this, e.g. IMHO it looks better on white/light backgrounds rather than dark ones. The other thing: I did't test it on graphic display because driver for my one is not completed yet ;) And I think ChibiOS/GFX logo should also look good on 320x240 display :] Presumably, it should be simpler then. What do you think? Anyway, thanks for a chance and I'm looking forward for a good ideas. Maybe somebody better than us will spot this topic and overwhelm us ;p

I just didn't want to leave the page blank, that's why I added it so quickly :)
But the nice words spoken are meant that way!

I do agree with you that the logo we need should be something designed for dark backgrounds. Making it look nice on graphic displays would be quite a nice idea as well - man, I didn't even thought of this!

I'm happy and thankful for all kinds of ideas and contributions.
Damn, why do most embedded developers suck so hard in graphic designing? :D
