Excellent, the graphic subsystem is maturing so fast. I have to buy something with a suitable LCD now :)

Hello Giovanni,

I've made my own adapter board with LCD and Ethernet PHY board interface headers:

There is a STM32F4 Motherboard at ebay, with the same functionality and embedded ethernet adapter, it costs about US$70,00 including the LCD.

Best regards!

Miguel

Not exactly the same. I checked the schematics, here are the differences:

1) ebay board uses PE3 (address A19) for FSMC.
2) ebay board uses a 40 pin LCD. The LCD I use has 34 pins (HY32D), header have different pinouts (not the same LCD).
3) Backlight control pin is PC6 in my board, ebay board uses PB0.
4) I could not figure out which SPI is used in ebay board (strange pins used). My board uses PC10, PC11 and PC12 as SPI3 signals. These pins are used for serial and SD card reader in ebay board.
5) ebay board has camera header, RS232 converter and DB9 connector and CAN header.

These are the basic differences I have noted. Connection to PHY adapter seens to be the same.

Feel free to contribute to my board layout and connections if want.

Best regards,

Miguel

This is a minor issue, you would just have to change the LCD_RAM address. When the interface logic for 8080 or whatever it is called has been put in one place we could add macros for specifying this stuff.

I finally found some time to make it run on my F1. Very impressive work.

Thank you very much, mobyfab!

What about non ASCII fonts? Can I use cyrillic fonts for example?

GWEN is currently not supported anymore. There have been a lot of changes and improvements in the ChibiOS/GFX library and there will come more in the near future.

You can use unicode but it is disabled by default to save space.

I am currently working on another project but I'll fix the SSD1963 driver and Gwen for GFX as soon as I can.
