Re: [Important] Contribution Procedures

The BSD license is not a problem, it just allows me to relicense under the GPL if the code is accepted in the main repository. About your ideas, who would handle all of that? it looks complex. Giovanni My fear was more in the other direction - that we cannot licence it under BSD because the ChibiOS...

Re: Simulator on Linux or Windows [FIXED]

I was able to get the Linux emulator working after some Makefile munging. It looks like the Makefile for demos/Posix-GCC assumes an older make environment. I've created a new one based on the STM32 demos. I've also added a rules.mk file to ports/GCC/SIMIA32 directory to be consistent with the other...

Re: MIPS32 port

Hi MaBl, do you run the kernel test cases in qemu? If so, is there a documentation on how to get the serial output? What hardware does qemu simulate for serial? Yes I did. QEMU is emulating i8250 serial device and the driver is available for chibi-mips-qemu. You should launch qemu with -nographic o...

Re: [RFC] Aging Platforms

Sure, I've talked to the guys on irc already. Tectu and barthess are now member of the github ChibiOS group. I'd very much like to help out - if somebody thinks it should be done differently - shout - I'm by no means a git and organization master

Re: [Important] Contribution Procedures

Ok, Tectu, barthess and I are looking into github. We have envisioned the following: ⋅  One official SVN mirror, currently located here . It only contains the trunk and stable branches of the (rather cluttered SVN repo) ⋅  Features will be developed in own branches against fork o...

Re: [RFC] Aging Platforms

Hmm since most new contributed ports are developed on github, could we not extend the chibios presence on github? As mentioned I already have allocated the chibios name as a team name there. Also we could move my git mirror to it. I'd be willing to help out as well.

Re: [RFC] Aging Platforms

Giovanni, the advantages come in when you develop in branches - it's really very natural thing to do in git.
