Re: HAL driver support for the STM32F2xx ("F-2") line

I've also been looking into cheap boards. Olimex is going to release a board comparable to the http://www.olimex.com/dev/stm32-p107.html in September. I've also asked Propox if they plan a similar product of http://www.propox.com/products/t_264.html. They are still investigating it. I'm sure both bo...

Re: Eclipse debug plugin for ChibiOS/RT

I just made a small test with my JLink and Eclipse 3.7.0 - works perfectly.

One suggestion: Would it be possible to add an option to update the view once the execution is paused?

Re: Eclipse debug plugin for ChibiOS/RT

Very cool! Does it rely on openocd? i'd like it to work with my jlink. Any way to test it yet?

Ethernet Serial Driver

Hello all, I'm thinking of building a EthernetSerial driver which will provide a Serial like interface to a telnet lwip socket. It should be comparable to the POSIX Serial emulation in HAL. Is this a sensible idea? And if so, has somebody done such a thing already? I'm still new to all the ChibiOS/l...

Re: Need help for serial usb

Hello Odie, do you intend to connect the GPS device to the USB socket? If so, that will probably not work. The usb serial interface is meant to connect to a computer. Regarding how to write to the serial usb driver: I think SerialUSBDriver implements a BaseAsynchronousChannel, so you can use it the ...

Re: STM32 Ethernet Demo

Hey brian360, thank you for the hint. I think i found the problem (needs further testing though)! sys_arch_sem_wait(sys_sem_t *sem, u32_t timeout) needs to block when timeout=0 is specified: - u32_t sys_arch_sem_wait(sys_sem_t sem, u32_t timeout) Blocks the thread while waiting for the semaphore to ...

Re: STM32 Ethernet Demo

I was having trouble getting the sample web server to work in this demo, so I've commented out the starting of that thread for now. Pings seem to work, though. That demo web server uses the netconn api, which I'm not using in my personal project, thus I'm unfamiliar with why it won't start. So you ...

C++ and STM32

Hello together, I tried using C++ with a basic Chibios project. I therefore renamed main.c to main.cpp and moved it to CPPSRC in the makefile. I thought that should work but i get a arm-none-eabi/bin/ld: error: no memory region specified for loadable section `.ARM.extab' error. Even though the linke...
