Re: Real-Time Clock driver?

Xamusk: Notice that even though the RTC support sub-second fractions resolution, it does only support setting the time with second resolution. You will have to use a timer to set the RTC at the exact time when the second overflows. On the Y-2038 problem, I have already asked the same questions in th...

Re: STM32 HAL going unstable on repository for a while

Great Giovanni :)

What about hardware floating point? Judging from os/ports/GCC/ARMCMx/chcore_v7m.c the floating point registers are not saved on context switch, right?

Re: Another interesting Discovery kit from ST

texane/stlink now includes fixes for the STM32F4 discovery board. Got the current ChibiOS blink LED demo up and running under Linux - and it was so easy, just 5 minutes tops :mrgreen:

Re: Another interesting Discovery kit from ST

Those are stunning results! It completely blows the F103 out of the water. 2.6 MHz context switches... dear god.. :mrgreen: How much impact will saving the FPU registers have? Might it be useful to have an option to disable the FPU? Now, I imagine ChibiOS running on a Silica xynergy board once they ...

I also noticed the new macros for IO definition. It's quite helpful I think. I have already spent to much time counting characters :mrgreen:

Hello all, I just ran into a problem where I wanted to specify the C dialect, but gcc complained that this compiler option is not valid for C++. But there is no possibility to add C specific options currently (there is CPPOPT though..). So I just went ahead and made the required changes to the make ...

Re: C++ Wrapper

Hello Giovanni,

start() is also fine ^^.

One other thing: The wrapper sets member variable EnhancedThread::name, shouldn't it set BaseThread::thread_ref->p_name?

C++ Wrapper

I just played a bit with the C++ wrapper and I think I found a problem. My problem is that I want to create an static thread object, so that the WA is not on the stack. Now, it seems to be impossible to Create a thread without Running it - but when the thread is statically defined outside a function...

Re: STM32 Ethernet Demo

Hello Santatana, I guess this is probably related. I still have not found out more, except that this is probably related to DMA. My personal theory is that the MAC is stalled at one descriptor, but the driver frees an other one, so that the driver is stalled somehow. This MAC driver thing is really ...
