Re: [FUN] Enigmatic screenshots

What about this cheap prototype board you talked about? If the price is hot, I'll buy one :-D

Re: [RFC] Ideas for ChibiOS/RT 3.0

I love those ideas - especially tickles timer and higher precision. MPU support will also help a lot!

I'm wondering though: Could this be achieved out of the current code base without many changes to the user api?

Re: STM32 Ethernet Demo

@tki:
If you like you can open a new topic about your issues. I used JLink with the Segger gdbserver and openocd - both worked fine for me and ChibiOS. Your troubles should be easy to solve.

Re: STM32 Ethernet Demo

Maybe it's also a possible idea to think about using the Olimex STM32E407. It's a great board:

You can easily buy it on ebay.

Re: STM32 Ethernet Demo

I'm not sure if tkj means oocd problems, Tectu. The debugging chain itself should be virtually identical between FreeRTOS and ChibiOS. Also the Olimex E407 is fully supported by ChibiOS - I cannot see how any other RTOS can be more easy. I have never used FreeRTOS, so I'd very much appreciate feedba...

Re: Floating point issue on Raspberry PI

Wasn't there once an issue with varargs and floating point? Which also never got solved and the "toolchain" got the blame? I'd wager this is the same case. What is the status of the raspberry Pi Port? I guess it needs a recommended toolchain and working debugging. OpenOCD should support it...

Re: was "chTimeNow() precision", now "RTC precision"

I am running stm32f4discovery in it's default configuration, I believe it has a 8MHz external oscillator on the board. Is the RTC running from LSE or LSI? LSI is a loop oscillator and you should not expect precision. Probably it is running from LSI ( see also mcuconf.h ). LSE would be a 32.768kHz O...

Re: was "chTimeNow() precision", now "RTC precision"

chSysLock(); // trying to be as atomic as I can be sn->pwmCounter = pwmCounter; sn->tr = RTCD1.id_rtc->TR; sn->chTime = chTimeNow(); sn->rtcTime = currentTimeMillis(); // actually this method unlock Sys but that's fine chSysUnlock(); chTimeNow and the call to rtcGetTime inside currentTimeMillis are...

Re: Floating point issue on Raspberry PI

You could also try to use sprintf, couldn't you?
