Re: Large fonts

Whilst people are very interested in creating a scalable font solution (and yes it would take a lot of work), there are really only two solutions... 1/ Use an existing library and patch it to run on GFX. Based on the library code that I have seen in the past this is not a feasible solution for most ...

Re: Undo / Redraw function

Have a look at the oscilloscope implementation in the GADC and GAUDIN demos. The demos draw an oscilloscope trace (in my testing on my slow board using a SPI interface LCD) at over 90 frames per second. It also only uses one pixel of RAM per x value (about 128 bytes in the GADC demo). It shows how y...

Re: Large fonts

The current font rendering engine in GFX is a simple bitmap font solution. It is possible to supply your own fonts in your application code by including #include "gdisp/fonts.h" in your application and then defining your own font. There are some limitations to this approach... ⋅ ...

Re: SSD2119 driver

The appropriate board name is BOARD_EMBEST_DMSTF4BB. The FSMC is just the way you have implemented the connection to the LCD in your board file. For some situations there may be several board files for the one board each with different connection details. Eg. Imagine a fictitious LCD controller call...

Re: SSD2119 driver

Yes - a image loader would be fantastic. I would suggest implementing it as a new gwin object eg gwinImage

There are the existing gwin objects in the source tree and also a couple of extra more complex ones under the GADC and GAUDIO demos.

Re: Multiple input screens

To get around the button release issue I have added a patch for a gfxconf.h variable GWIN_BUTTON_LAZY_RELEASE (set it to TRUE). The reality is that if your touch screen is too inaccurate to handle the release correctly then you probably need to adjust the touch controller parameters. There is a test...

Re: [IMPORTANT] Announcement of chibios-gfx.com

Giovanni has made similiar modifications. Perhaps use Giovanni's modifications to the ChibiOS license (or license description) may save some work.

Re: ADC support for Olimex SAM7EX256 board

Yes it is complete however it is possible that a header file or board file modification has been missed in the upload. What symbols are you missing and I will verify they are where they should be? An example of the ADC being used on the Olimex SAM7EX256 board can be found in the ChibiOS-GFX examples...

Re: [IMPORTANT] Announcement of chibios-gfx.com

If this is an immediate concern for you, ask Tectu to define his linking exception interfaces. I am sure it is on his todo agenda however I know that he has been VERY busy writing code and documenting the system. (Thanks Tectu!) I am sure he would be pleased to know someone using the product has had...

Re: [IMPORTANT] Announcement of chibios-gfx.com

The code is now under the same license as ChibiOS. My understanding of what that means - you can use it in whatever you want but if you make changes to the source code you must publish them. The linking exception allows you to not publish your own main application source code. You must still however...
