Re: Example code for STM32F4 Discovery

In the updated "threads" command function, I tested for the case of Process Name p_name being null.

The displays "(Null)" in that column.

If anyone gets an error, please try to give me some details.

Re: Example code for STM32F4 Discovery

I made a change to the "threads" command. I added the thread name to the display. Now if you set the thread name it will show up correctly in the list. Here is the updated function: void cmd_threads(BaseSequentialStream *chp, int argc, char *argv[]) { static const char *states[] = {THD_STA...

Re: [New] Side project: ChibiToolchain

Oh please yes!! I got my board a month or so ago and spent half that time getting tools running that I could use. I am still not using eclipse or any debugger other then a scope and a flashing led ( works quite well when you have been using them for 15 years). Two points to consider: 1. Chibios 1.5 ...

Re: [RFC] The non-STM32 poll

I voted for the AVR. I use the AVR in many projects. In the past I have used a super loop checking for flags that were either set by a custom timer interrupt, or some other interrupt source. Now I am planning to transition some some new rtos I heard about somewhere.... Sure wish I could remember its...

Re: The STM32-E407 topic

Hi Giovanni, I think you have a typo in this paragraph: Last but not least the price. Both boards are really cheap, the STM32F4-Discovery can be found around 17€ from various distributors, the Olimex STM32F4-Discovery is priced 39.95€ for a single unit but the price goes down for quantities. I t...

Re: looking for help with usb-serial and chprintf

AH! Got it!

I tried numerous variations, but did not keep track of what I did... ( yea, yea... I git it now!! )

I also got it going in the module that I needed it in.

Giovanni, Thanks for your help, and for the project overall!

looking for help with usb-serial and chprintf

I am trying to use chprintf with usb-serial in general functions. I can see how it works when writing command functions using the shell.c module. I have been playing with this for several days now, and have not had much luck figuring out how to get this to work. here is the error I am getting.. Prog...

Re: Example code for STM32F4 Discovery

Yes, I am on Windows. Most of my pain has been trying to get Eclipse integrated and working. I have given up for now and am just using the command line with the yagarto toolchain. That should work fine until I need to do some serious debugger. I got you example up and running yesterday, and have alr...

Re: Example code for STM32F4 Discovery

Good example!! Thanks! I have been trying to get things going on my STM32f4 explorer, but have been stumbling over the documentation. You hit on most of the things I have been struggling with getting working. So far I have been playing with a port to the Arduino, but that is just a stepping stone. I...
