Re: Mailbox message

You might want to look at post:

http://forum.chibios.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2980

It shows a small function that allows creating a buffer pool, allocating buffers pointers that you can pass in mailboxes, then freeing the buffer back to the pool.

Re: USB FS Maximum Throughput

Here is a thread where we discussed some usb-cdc speed tests. In my testing I was getting ~900,000 bytes per second or 9mbits. This was a sustained speed over a period of a couple of minutes or so. This was using a st32f4-discovery running at 168Mhz. With the processor you have, I don't know if you ...

Re: Open Source Motor Controller using Chibios

This is a very well implemented project.

It is really cool starting to see more Chibios projects out in the wild.

Open Source Motor Controller using Chibios

Here is a ESC for 3-phase motors.

He built it for use with his longboard, but will do MUCH more then that!

Cool badge from Burning Man using Chibios 3.0

I saw this today and was happily surprised to see that it runs chibios 3.0 on a M0+ processor.

Re: Example of memory pool + struct + mailbox.

Hi Giovanni, I don't see this in current releases... was there some problems with using mail pools? Or, did you implement them some other way? I need a way to send intact messages to serial devices and I am looking at using memory pools to hold my messages, then a "serial server" that retr...

Re: STM32E407 Timer->DMA->GPIO

Hi Kai, Welcome into the deep end! You know you are going to have fun when you realize that you need to do DMA. I can take a look over your code tomorrow, but a few things that come to mind right now... Check to make sure the DMA channel is not dedicated to something else... Already looks like...

Re: how to configure 16-bit GPIOE port for DMA access

If I remember correctly only dma2 can connect to the gpio ports. This bit into me and chewed for about 2 weeks before I figured it out. I don't remember what timer I had to use to trigger the dma, but the dma will really dictate which ones you can use. Are you doing a blinky light project? The specs...

Re: usb shell spawn

I have another question: if the application crashes and unhandled_Exception function is called, all running threads are blocked or only the thread that caused the crash? It does what is basically a no-no in an RTOS. However, this time it is just what you want to happen. Full screaming halt. You NEV...
