Proper way to shutdown

Hi, I working on my first ChibiOS project. First I want to make a very simple bootloader. Writing something over serial and jumping to main. I'm working with a Nucleo F411RE and F446RE now for over 2 years with bare metal. So I started with HAL and made a bootloader. Jump to my bare metal firmware. ...

Re: Git not tracking Topic is solved

First let's grab some old history. Currently we are at 11142. So as you wish, add your preferred value. Closer to the current one is faster. I took 10000 and this takes around 20 minutes on my computer. git svn clone -r10000:HEAD https://svn.code.sf.net/p/chibios/svn/ -T trunk -b branches -t tags Ch...

Re: Git not tracking Topic is solved

I'm using git to load the branches. When I'm at home, I can write a small tutorial. It's pretty simple and needs no modifications on the server.

No uart->early with UART_USE_WAIT=FALSE Topic is solved

Without UART_USE_WAIT and with HAL_USE_UART TRUE with STM32s, you will receive a compile error: Compiling hal_uart_lld.c ../../os/hal/ports/STM32/LLD/USARTv1/hal_uart_lld.c: In function 'uart_lld_start_send': ../../os/hal/ports/STM32/LLD/USARTv1/hal_uart_lld.c:736:51: error: 'UARTDriver {aka struct ...

Re: New Makefile Topic is solved

Many thanks for working on this.

I'm pretty sorry that I can't help with debugging AVRs.

Re: New Makefile Topic is solved

Hi all, I'm at 10831. 10831 and the change for flto are now giving the same output. If you need anything else, please let me know. 10831: *** ChibiOS/RT Test Suite *** *** Compiled: Oct 21 2017 - 21:50:21 *** Platform: AVR *** Test Board: Arduino Mega *** Compiler: GCC 5.4.0 *** Architecture: MegaAV...

Re: New Makefile Topic is solved

Just test the RT-demo.

Do you have also an idea what here happened?

Code: Select all

--- Test Case 11.1 (Allocation and fragmentation)
--- Result: FAILURE (#4 [] "missing free block")

Without -flto it works fine.

Wow. Pretty fast finding!

Compiling works.

Re: New Makefile Topic is solved

Hi Theo, I'm always trying to help where I can. :) I'm currently not using the SVN. I'm more familiar with git. But this should be close to the SVN-trunk. Unfortunately the current trunk doesn't work with the AVR-demos. I'm in /ChibiOS/demos/AVR/RT-ARDUINO-MEGA makefile:96: ../../../test/rt/test.mk:...
