Re: STM32L462 Looks Interesting Topic is solved

I note that whilst the L432 has appeared in the stm32_registry, there's still no support for the L462.

What do I need to do to get this support into ChibiOS?

Re: v16 --> v17 --> v18 migration guide

I second this. My biggest issue is not changes in the API - as Giovanni says they are relatively stable and in any event compiler errors help a lot. The absolute killer for me is the build system - I have many, many projects with Makefiles based on v16 and they simply don't work with the v18 code ba...

Re: Adding support for STM32L496xx/4A6xx Topic is solved

Moving in "change requests" forum. We will consider this for inclusion in trunk, 17.6.x is a "stable" branch and only receives fixes. Giovanni I'm currently on 16.1.9 and as per our PM I'm intending to add support for several of the new L4 devices. Are you saying that these will...

Re: SPI3 on STM32L432

How are you using Chibi on the L432? Yes it's in the latest CMSIS but there's no definition for it in the HAL yet as far as I can see - only the L471, L475, L476 L485 and L486.

I'd like to use some of these newer ones like the L432, L433, L462 etc. but can't as they aren't defined in Chibi.....

I've now got the dev boards back from the fab and built one. Any progress on the port? Can I help in any way? Would you like me to send you one of the dev boards built up?

Yep agreed. Use the -D option on the usbmon device if you prefer the format / output that wireshark presents.

Same source and same data though so no real difference.

Re: USB on STM32F3DISCOVERY

Good to know :) my Linux-fu is not so strong. Giovanni Yes I struggled many times in troubleshooting my USB code on Chibi because you can't put in breakpoints for obvious reasons and even trace output can change the timing of course. But on linux being able to see every submitted and completed/erro...

Re: USB on STM32F3DISCOVERY

Try cat /sys/kernel/debug/usb/usbmon/0u and it will show you all the USB packets so you can figure out exactly which transaction is causing the problem. Would suggest you post the final few lines of that output here. If that file doesn't exist check if you have a debugfs mounted. If not use mount -t...

Re: STM32L462 Looks Interesting Topic is solved

Board done and ordered - should get 3 simple dev boards in the next 3 weeks or so. Also very interested in the STM32L442. I used the F303 a lot at the moment and the L442 is better and pin compatible but also comes in a lot of leadless packages which I prefer so hopefully including the L442 and well...

Perfect! Let me know if I can help with code or test. I've just designed my dev board for the 462 so will send off to the fab.
