Nice to hear that it worked for you also. During testing I'v set the delay times after writing data to the display (in tdisp_lld) very long. These can be faster. I will correct that as soon as possible and send you the new file. I did not have enough time to test the 8-bit version. So that is untest...

In the attached files you find the update driver files for using the HD44780 compatible displays.
There is also a simple demo added showing the most used capabilities of the display.
