Re: How to send string to shell command parser ?

Hello, I think I got it. Will check tomorrow. I should create a buffer and a memorystream. Init the stream. Then create a new shell thread on this stream, using the existing command table. And finaly put/write chars extracted from the CANBUS protocol to the memorystream. And tadaaaaaaa, existing com...

Re: How to send string to shell command parser ?

Hi, I will give it a try. And if my application require ethernet, I would add a telnet port. So the check and configuration could be done either by serial, CAN or Ethernet. Or all 3 at the same time. The application is to drive old roadrail modeltrains. They are not digital, and it would be nice if ...

How to send string to shell command parser ?

Hi, I have a running project with various modules. They use shell on SD2 serial line for configuration. I want to add CANbus for application purposes, and add configuration commands too, in order to configure modules from main controller, a PC, while still keeping the shell on serial serial port. I ...

Re: [NOTES] Multi Core support

Hi, Just my 2 cents. Software running on hi-end cores would run Linux, Android, Windows ,....to benefit from existing softwares, packages, stacks,... ChibiOs, any other RT kernel, would run on the Cortex-M cores to handle ..... the real time stuff :D So, for these kind of devices and OSes, there is ...

Re: Raspberry Pi port

Hi Just my 2 cents. RTOS on a quad core 1+GHz. What realtime application will be targeted by this? Something complex, which will probably need lots of serial ports, SPI, I2C, Timer modules "STM32-like", PWM, CAN, encoders counters. Am I wrong if I say RPi processor is not the best choice i...

Hi,

ESP32 also uses LWIP. You will find plenty of examples.

Re: I2C err

From the message "i2c_lld_master_transmit_timeout" you could find the possible cause in the source code. My guess is your peripheral is not correctly receiving, and it is not answering the read/write request => timout. The peripheral address could be also wrong. Check if the address is not...

Re: NIL winout HAL with NVIC problem

Juste my 2 cents.
I would prefer starting from a CM3 project, for STM32F10x, with everything correctly configured for the core, peripherals, vectors, compiler options, linker,....
And then copying from the CM0 project the code I need.
