Re: ChibiStudio for linux

Here I am :)

Not sure about the error messages in italian, what if you just clean and build again?
What system are you using, 32 or 64 bit?
If it is 64 bit, do you have the 32 bit support (multiarch / ia32libs)?

Re: [TODO] QEI driver

Hi, I use this driver for the same application in most cases (robot odometry), and what I do to get a precise timestamp of the readings is simply to read both encoders inside a locked zone: chSysLock(); timestamp = ... delta_left = qeiUpdateI(&QEID3); delta_left = qeiUpdateI(&QEID4); chSysUn...

Re: [NEWS] The ChibiOS Book

Giovanni, the book project is a big news!
It is of great interest to me, I may use it as material for university lectures, there are almost no resources with well-organized practical examples.
I'm interested for sure in looking at the existing material and give my 2 cents.

Re: [STM32F30x] ADC configuration

Hi, I was experiencing similar (and non-deterministic) problems using the ADC on F3 devices: 1) DMA interrupt handlers continuously invoked, even before calling adcStart() 2) the assert at the beginning of adc_lld_calibrate() fails 3) unhandled exceptions I've found that the mcu was actually startin...

Re: ADC and shell strange behavior

Thanks Giovanni for your fast reply.
I was already using the ChibiOS/RT Eclipse plugin, and it looks like threads still have a lot of empty stack (>1kb free).
Any chance of an overflow of DMA while writing into the ADC samples buffer?

ADC and shell strange behavior

I've experienced really strange behavior when working with the ADC and the shell over UART on a STM32F103 MD device. I'm running ChibiOS/RT 2.6.3. I've enabled all debug checks. The system halts (port_halt()) from a debug check called while waiting for characters on the serial port, in particular th...

Re: Set PWM output range between VDD and GND

Are you sure you have the scope input configured in DC coupling? +/- 1.5V looks like AC coupling, i.e., the DC is removed (and the signal is centered to 0V).
If you measure the Vdd pin on the discovery board, w.r.t. gnd, what do you get?

Re: printf, sprintf, chprintf ?

If you need to print integers you should use "%d" specifiers in your format string instead of "%f".

ps: for the half-duplex operation, I guess it is selected by configuring bits BIDIMODE and BIDIOE in SPI_CR1

Re: Missing SPI4/5/6 (+DMA) for STM32F429/439

Hi TexZK, you can find the description of DMA streams and channels in the reference manual (table 43-44 of RM0090), you should add the default values for SPI4-5-6 streams and channels in spi_lld.h: #if !defined(STM32_SPI_SPI1_RX_DMA_STREAM) || defined(__DOXYGEN__) #define STM32_SPI_SPI1_RX_DMA_STREA...
