Re: eTPU interface & Precompiled binaries for ST SPC56xx?

First - hope Giovanni doesn’t mind me posting Freescale related info? If so I’ll stop. No, I did not purchase TPU compiler. You can get a 30 day evaluation and they (Freescale) may give you free extension license. That being said, I do have the compiler, but with what is offered as compiled function...

Re: eTPU interface & Precompiled binaries for ST SPC56xx?

I guess I'll have to read up on the eTPU from ST and Freescale. I'm actually interested in using it for the injector drivers and engine speed and offloading all that processing from the main CPU. (Like the big boys do in the automotive world). Here is a quick example for and very simple 4-cyclinder...

Re: Any mass-market vehicle with xPC56x?

It looks like Qorivva 32-bit MCU is under a joint Freescale/ST agreement. The only place I can find MPC listed as actual part # is here. http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=MPC560xB&tab=Buy_Parametric_Tab&lang_cd=en&nodeId=01624606C1427E&fromPage=tax Notice...

Re: Any mass-market vehicle with xPC56x?

I noticed this too, very strange, SPC5634xxxx is not a valid FSL or ST code. Giovanni This is MPC563xM Freescale page. http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=MPC563xM When you click on buy button you get this. Notice MPC is now SPC. http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/p...

Re: Development board

Hello, I would like to ask for recommendations of reasonably priced development boards for spc56x. Also, are there any other power mcu's which are likely to supported by chibios in near future? The lowest cost that I know of is from Freescale, which can be purchased for $25 USD. TRK-USB-MPC5602P, T...

Re: Any mass-market vehicle with xPC56x?

Russian, I’m guessing you are wanting to use an OEM ECM and trying to write your own code. Most North American ECMs’ use Freescale MPC56x series from ~2004 onward. Now GM and Chrysler have a secondary safety CPU that acts as an enhanced watchdog - this is for DBW (drive by wire) throttle and other l...
